The DHI technique does not leave a linear scar, because follicles are extracted individually, without removing a strip of skin or using stitches. However, it isn't completely “scar-free”: microscopic circular marks may remain in the donor area, usually hard to notice when the procedure is well planned.
Small dots, scabs or temporary redness are common. At DHI Panamá, the donor area usually heals in 3 to 5 days, and redness generally fades during the first week.

The first signs of growth usually appear 4 to 5 months after the DHI hair implant. The typical timeline is:
• First weeks: implanted hair may shed temporarily; this is a normal part of the process.
• 4–5 months: visible growth begins.
• 6–9 months: density increases progressively.
• Around 12 months: you normally see the final, more mature result.
